OUTDOOR GRILLING SEASON JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT BETTER THANKS TO THIS RECIPE!

There’s just something about summer grilling that makes me feel like A WHOLE NEW HUMAN. It really just becomes my whole personality during the summer months, and you know...I think I am ok with that. :)
I live for grill season! I've also found that it's less about perfectly curated vibes and way more about having a good time — catching up with friends, plating straight off the grill onto paper plates, and of course, pairing it all with something delicious to sip. I’ve been testing SO many cocktail recipes each time my fiance and I fire up the grill, and I kid you not...this Frozen Guava Mojito might just be my fiance's favorite one I've developed yet. IT IS THAT GOOD.
Mojitos happen to be the rare cocktail that I can serve to EVERYONE, and there are no complaints. Everyone LOVES mojitos. It's a fact. Refreshing without being boring, mojitos are that girl. And this frozen version? It takes the classic up a notch (and then some). We love a good blender cocktail that’s extra sippable, and this is that. :)
Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ, poolside hang, or just need an easy “let’s celebrate the fact that we've made it to Thursday” sipper, this Frozen Guava Mojito checks every box.
This is all to say...stay tuned for more grill-season drink pairings coming your way — frozen not frozen, spritzes galore, and of course boozy AND n/a options. 'Tis the season.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups guava nectar (chilled)
½ cup lime juice (about 4 limes)
20–24 fresh mint leaves (stems removed)
4 tablespoons simple syrup (adjust to taste)
6 oz white rum (¾ cup)
4 cups of ice (crushed ice works best)
Additional mint sprigs, optional for garnish
DIRECTIONS
In a high-speed blender, first blend the guava nectar, fresh lime juice, mint leaves, and simple syrup. Blend until the mint is fully broken down and everything is well combined.
Next, add the white rum and ice to the blender. Blend again until the mixture is frothy and slushy.
Pour into 4 rocks glasses.
Garnish each glass with a mint sprig and serve IMMEDIATELY while cold and frosty. If it's been sitting for a bit between servings, just blend again before pouring, as it can settle!
~ Serves 4
Notes
Prepping ahead: For those who will ask me if you can prep this ahead, you sure can! :) You can blend the entire mix (minus the ice and rum) a few hours in advance and store it in the fridge covered. When ready to serve, just add the rum & ice and blend again.
Bottled lime juice: While fresh is always better, I've found that when grilling...it's all about ease. You can most definitely use bottled lime juice, but if this is the case, make sure it is a 100% kind that there are no other ingredients other than lime juice. There are options with fillers, artificial sweeteners, you know where I am going with this...and we don't want that! But if you have the time to spare and can even prepare ahead by juicing a few limes, I highly recommend doing so!
Ice cubes: I've mentioned this above, but while standard ice cubes work just fine, if you have crushed ice, that's even better. It’ll blend faster and give you a smoother slushy consistency that you're looking for.
Guava nectar vs. guava juice: Guava nectar is widely available in Latin or Asian grocery stores, and increasingly in the international aisle of major supermarkets. Look for brands like Goya, Jumex, or Ceres. Guava nectar is more concentrated and often includes some pulp, making it richer and more velvety in frozen drinks. Juice is thinner, more diluted, and won’t give the same creamy texture. For this frozen mojito, I've found that I prefer nectar over guava juice when recipe testing!
