A TAKE ON THE VIRAL TREND WITH AN UNEXPECTED TWIST - CARDAMOM SUGAR AND ORANGE BLOSSOM!

If you're still looking for an easy, no-bake 4th of July dessert that feels fancy but takes minimal effort? Make these Prosecco Strawberries. It's giving dressed-up strawberries, and they are absolutely delicious!

Strawberries soaked in some bubbly? Who would have thought? Whether you're watching fireworks from a rooftop or throwing a backyard BBQ, these berries are here to make dessert time feel festive without having to break a sweat!

And while they’re a certified hit for the upcoming holiday, this is the kind of dessert you’ll want ON REPEAT ALL SUMMER. It’s low-lift, high-reward, and feels way fancier than it is. Brunch with friends? Serve them on skewers. Hosting a bridal shower? Plate them like petit fours. No matter the occasion, this is the kind of recipe that makes you look and feel like the host with the most! Not to mention, you can most definitely sip the strawberry infused prosecco so you're kind of getting two recipes in one? :)

We’re taking the viral Prosecco berry trend and adding a South Asian flair—just a little bit of freshly ground cardamom and a splash of orange blossom water goes a long way in this recipe. The combo is floral and citrusy and is exactly what the prosecco strawberries need for that extra oomph.

If you’re new to my blog, we are all about unexpected flavor combos that feel nostalgic and easy recipes that come together magically. Be sure to follow along for more creative summer dessert recipes, festive drinks, and South Asian-inspired entertaining ideas all season long!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cups fresh strawberries (stems on or hulled)

  • 1 mini bottle Prosecco (187 mL / ¾ cup)

  • 2 tsp orange blossom water

  • ½ cup granulated sugar or monk fruit

  • ¼ tsp ground green cardamom (freshly ground if possible)

  • ½ tsp orange zest (optional but highly recommended)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add your strawberries to a mason jar or glass container. Pour in the Prosecco and orange blossom water. Stir gently and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, ideally up to 6 hours! You can also soak these overnight for maximum flavor.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cardamom.

  3. Remove the strawberries from the fridge and pat them dry. Roll or sprinkle them with the cardamom sugar/monk fruit.

  4. Enjoy immediately, plate them up, or skewer them for a party platter. Don’t forget to serve a glass of the infused Prosecco on the side! I love serving them up in tiny martini glasses to make the presentation special!

~ Serves 2-4

Notes

  • Making ahead: You can for sure soak the strawberries up to 6 hours ahead. For the sugar coating, wait until right before serving so it stays crisp and the sugar doesn't dissolve into the strawberries.

  • Making for even a larger crowd? For 6-9 servings, use about 1.5 lbs of strawberries and a full bottle of Prosecco.

  • As you've heard me say before, not all Proseccos are created equal! For this recipe, a dry or extra-dry Prosecco works best. Nothing fancy or expensive is needed—just always try to use one you’d enjoy sipping on its own.

  • You can find orange blossom water in the cocktail aisle of most grocers (next to the vermouth, maraschino cherries, and syrups like grenadine). I've also easily found it in South Asian or Middle Eastern grocery stores, where there are other syrups like Rooh Afza, kewra, and rosewater.
